City University has recently made a significant investment in their Engineering Photogrammetric Unit with the purchase of a Helava DSW100 photographic scanner and an Intergraph Digital Photogrammetric Workstation. This equipment will be available for both research, teaching and commercial activities, ensuring the University maintains its respected position in the photogrammetric field.
The scanner has a geometric resolution of 3 microns and is capable of scanning photographs up to 30cm x 30cm at resolutions of up to 7.5 microns (c.3,600 dots per inch). A scanning bureau service is being offered by the unit.
