Report on PC Technical Graphics Packages

This presents the results of an evaluation of technical graphics packages conducted by the UCSG (Universities and Colleges Software Group). The evaluation looked at PC Windows packages.

Packages were expected to be able to support 2D and 3D displays with good flexible data input and editing being a requirement. 25 packages were reviewed and six were selected for a shortlist to be evaluated in more detail. The report includes statistical information on all packages and a descriptive evaluation. The report recommends that educational prices are sought for Stanford Graphics and Origin.
